Y’know, I’ve never been 3 months late with an announcement before.

One can only hope it never happens again, but… let’s face it. It’s me we’re talking about. Sorry in advance. And retroactively.

SO, without further ado, an announcement!

We have a series announcement! Waaaaaaaay back on December 31st (because I got impatient and didn’t want to wait any longer) I released the series trailer on Instagram and Facebook. I highly recommend you go take a look, I’m very proud of it.

The Man From Delwaphria is a soft Sci-Fi Adventure, with generous dashes of humor, and a slow burn romance.

The synopsis: James Feyden is on a mission. Catching Annie Garva is only the first step in his hunt for justice for his home planet Delwaphria. But Annie has a mission of her own. One that, if successful, will change their lives forever.

The Man from Delwaphria Episode 1 will be released September 28, 2024.

There will be 6 books in the series.

Title and Cover reveal, as well as the preorder launch, will be Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 5pm Mountain Daylight time (11PM UTC) And yes, I PROMISE I will post it here, too. On time, even, haha.

So, you might be asking what HAVE I been doing, then, if I haven’t been blogging? Just working on The Man From Delwaphria?

Simple version? Yeah.

This series was written in a different way than pretty much any other book that I’ve written. First of all, they demanded that they are episodes (even though they are full length novels, each and every one of them) but also they refused to be plotted the first time around. That has meant, rather than doing my organizing at the beginning while I made a plot, it came when I was doing drafts 2&3. Even now while I’m working on Draft 4, I’m still doing a bit of patchwork to make sure things are consistent, and all of the scenes necessary are in there. It also means that although I blocked out about 5 months to do draft 2, it took me 7 months, and Draft 3 took me 2. By the time I dragged myself to a vacation in the middle of February, I had no doubts that I deserved it, haha.

That being said, it’s so satisfying to see a book come together, and since I’m doing 6 at once, it’s even better, haha. That being said, these books will not be released all at once, but at regular intervals. In my mind, it’s more enjoyable that way, and you get to scream at me a little longer during certain parts. You’ll know when you get there.

While I was on break, I did a bit (read: a LOT) of research for another project that I’m getting more and more excited to write. I’m not going to tell you what it’s about yet, but it is set in 1943. It’s going to be awesome if I can pull it off the way that I want to.

I also got to beta read for an author that I respect SO much. It was a really cool experience. It’s a very different experience editing your own work and working on someone else’s.

Lastly… that’s about all I have. Life nowadays is all about publishing, and getting the story worked out. As we move through publication, I plan on sharing a couple of things about the process of writing The Man From Delwaphria. It felt like (and was) a very unique experience, but it was so much fun! I want to share it with you.
