The Writing Peasant

May this year be less eventful than last year.

(For the record, I totally know that it won’t, but it won’t hurt to wish for it a little, haha.)

Well, welcome to 2025, and what a beauty it’s going to be! We’ve had a great couple of days for sales (meaning, I sold more than one book! YAY!) after the launch of Recruit, and I’ve had lots of family time, which has been the absolute best. I kind of shot myself in the foot a little bit this year, by being just a little too ambitious about Christmas presents, but I know better for this coming year: 1) do not do crafts / hand projects for half of your gifts and 2) if I HAVE to, start this month and get one done a month.

It’s unlikely that I WILL do more crafts for everyone this year, haha, because there’s only so much embroidery and cross stitch that you can unload on your relatives before they start resenting you.

On the book front, we’re moving forward full steam ahead! Edits for Episode 3 begin TODAY (also in the effort that we have less last-minute panic) and I am SO excited! We meet one of my favorite side characters in this book, and I think you’ll like them, too.

That’s about all for me! Between The Day Job, Writing, and trucking away on my personal goals, life has been busy, but mostly only noteworthy to me. But also good. Always good.
