The Writing Peasant

We’re going to very conveniently ignore the fact that I dropped off the face of the earth. It’s got a short explanation: I was taking care of my mental health. For those of you on Social Media, I do have Instagram and Facebook pages, and I am more active on those. 😀

Still, things are back to normal, and boy do we have a LOT to cover.

First of all:

RENDEZVOUS IS OUT!!!!

Yes, it was back in September, but it’s gone well, and I’m very proud of it. You can read it here! We also had an absolute amazing launch party in at the Provo City Library. For those of you able to come, thank you so much! Also, thanks to Mariel, one of my close friends and a Delwaphria fan, for hosting the launch, and Nashelie (also close friend, also Delwaphria fan!) for taking the only known pictures of the event! (I also went to Fan-X as a participant. 😀 I also went to a farmer’s market just to see what it was like.

I also announced my first Rom-Com! It’s called The Heart of the Matter, a contemporary romantic comedy. It’s my first genre romance, and it was a LOT of fun! I initially was going to publish it in 2027, but much like how it was written (I’ll have to tell this story someday) it demanded to be released now. So here we are, haha.

Other things from this year is I went to the Fall Into Fiction: Winter Edition fair, and it was SO much fun! I am thinking I will prioritize their events over other local ones, just because it was so much fun.

Lastly on the book front, we do have a title and release date for Delwaphria Episode 5: Recoil will come out April 25, 2026. Synopsis and Cover Art are coming soon. 😀 You can preorder Here.

Since this is my last blog post of the year, I will say that this has been a hard, but good year! I’ve gotten most of the things I wanted to done (Admittedly, still hoping I can do an audiobook next year, but that’ll take a whole lot of support from you all, because I’m saving my money for a trip to Korea (for a book? Yes. :D) in 2027. It means that it’ll be on the slender end of things as far as money goes, but it’ll be a HUGE, awesome payoff. 😀

Next year, of course, I have 3 releases planned: The Heart of the Matter in January, Recoil (Episode 5) and Delwaphria 6 in late 2026. Any other projects will be a bonus, and probably a sign of prosperity as well, haha.

Personal goals will be to 1) finish the books 2) not go insane 3) do all the research I need and 4) keep to the budget. 😀 Everything else will be a sign of prosperity, haha.

Hopes and dreams are: Become a finalist for The Whitney Awards (Renegade is a nominee), have The Heart of the Matter do really well, and be patient with myself as I work with life. 😀
