the middle of May in two days. What in the world?
One of the biggest hallmarks of getting older is how often I go, “Wow, it seems like yesterday [insert something that happened 3 years ago] happened.” I’m not sure whether time is actually moving faster, or I’m progressively moving slower in my (not so) advanced age, but it’s necessitated me adhering to my calendar a little closer than I used to, because it’s the only way I’m keeping up.
And HOW am I keeping up, you ask?
Actually pretty well. Editing on the two books I’m currently working on–Rendezvous (Delwaphria #4) and a currently-officially-unannounced book–is going slower than anticipated, but overall well. I’m also tinkering around in a work in progress that I don’t know will ever see the light of day, but that’s largely in my slow moments.
I also just got back from STORYMAKERS. For those of you who don’t know, Storymakers is a writing conference usually held the 2nd weekend of May (Thursday-Saturday) in Provo, UT. Honestly, it’s kind of wonderful hanging out with people who think the same way that I do. Writing can be kind of isolating sometimes, and it’s really good to meet up with people I really respect and love in the field. I’m excited to take what I learned and apply it in my writing.
For now, it’s full steam ahead! I hope you are enjoying the Delwaphria series so far, and THANK YOU to everyone that has left reviews and reached out to me about Book 3! Leaving reviews and recommending it to your friends is BY FAR the best way to spread the word. My advertisements and things don’t go very far, but people are very likely to pick up a book if a friend recommends it. So, for those of you that have done that, THANK YOU. And, of course, thank you to all of you have reached out to me about how much you love it. It really helps keep things fun. I probably shouldn’t rely on external validation so much, but the feedback is wonderful. Thank you!
Well, that’s it for now! I hope you are well, and here we go into summer!
Onwards and Upwards!
-Rebekah 🙂
